"Chicken camp" is designed to give those who teach dogs (or any other species), those who teach humans to teach dogs, and those who teach and lead humans the knowledge and skills to create precise behaviors in a positive and creative environment. Instructors take the participants through the theory of learning, and immediately put the concepts to use with the chicken flock. Chickens are very literal and unforgiving. Timing a little off ?? They will let you know! Push them a little hard – they will flap their wings and leave! This 3-Day workshop is lead by Sally Dickinson KPA, a nationally recognized professional trainer, with more than 30 years experience training at the highest levels. Subjects include: Operant Conditioning Classical Conditioning Bridges and marker timing Developing a training plan with a clear goal Following a training plan Teaching skills to human students Chaining and back-chaining behaviors Rewards and their placements What to do when things go wrong Teaching other humans in clear and effective ways - especially those "difficult" students.
