Target Audience: Certified teams or teams approaching certification level with at least 12 months experience in water search dog must have a solid trained final response.
Topics: This 3 day workshop will be a combination of classroom and hands on training. Classroom time will be limited to maximize time on the water. Classroom topics will include; communicating findings and recommendations to AHJ, managing canine resources on a water search, using GPS in the water environment.
Hands on training will focus on real world and certification scenarios for teams actively working water searches, and extended known and blind searches from shoreline and open water.

Meals: Lunches will be provided each day.
Hotels: A block of rooms will be held near the training site. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email with hotel information so that you can reserve your room.
Prerequisites:
1. Dog must be at least 12 months old and have at least 6 months of HR training at the time of the workshop. Dog must have a solid trained final response on both land and water.
2. You should have a HRD Land certification, and you should have a HRD water certification or be preparing to take one from a national or state agency. If you have a current certification a copy can be uploaded during the registration process.
3. Dog must be current on core vaccinations per AAHA Core Vaccines: Rabies, and Combination vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza). Current titers also accepted. Information can be found at:
